Using this wire avoids torque control problems that may occur when using a round wire. By laying flat against the teeth, it reduces interference in the lower incisors when linked to the lingual surface of upper incisors.
– This wire’s flexibility allows it to adapt and prevents tooth movement associated with active wires.
– It also serves to keep a diastema closed and to maintain difficult extraction sites, and splint compromised teeth.
